Pre-Licensing Course
Like any other industry in Canada, it is mandatory to complete pre-licensing training. Before appearing for the real estate licensing exam, you can do this from a certified institution.
The duration of the training, educational, and licensing details may differ across provinces or territories.
The pre-registration course includes insights into choosing real estate as a career. For instance, land structure and real estate trading, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and real property law are part of this course. This course runs for 18 months, and online options are available.
The Licensing Exam
To succeed as a Real Estate Agent in Canada, you must complete a series of Salesperson Licensing courses. After completing this pre-registration process, you can apply for initial salesperson registration.
The practical training, also known as the Articling Segment, is the next step and is a 24-month course. There are four options in this stage, and you can choose one from the following.
- Principles of Appraisal
- Mortgage Financing Principles
- Principles of Property Management
